My watch already shows me pace and stroke count — why do I need another app?
Your watch measures; Swim Analytics interprets. It turns those raw numbers into your real Critical Swim Speed (CSS) and the training zones that follow from it — the threshold metric swimming has been missing while running and cycling have had it for years.
Do I need to be a competitive swimmer for this to be useful?
No. CSS is a personal threshold, not a competition badge — it works the same whether you swim for triathlon, for fitness, or just to swim further without burning out. The zones adapt to your own pace, not to elite benchmarks.
Will Swim Analytics replace my club's app or Strava?
No — it complements them. Swim Analytics adds the swim-specific interpretation (CSS, training zones, stroke efficiency) that general fitness and social platforms aren't built to calculate, because they weren't designed for swimming.
How do I sync my workouts?
The app automatically syncs with Apple Health to import swimming workouts recorded by any compatible device or app. Make sure you've granted Health app permissions in iOS Settings.
Is my data private?
Yes, all data is processed locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information. Read our full privacy policy.
How do I export my data?
You can export your workout data and analytics in multiple formats (JSON, CSV, HTML, PDF) directly from the app. All exports are generated locally on your device.
Do I need an internet connection?
No, the app works completely offline. All calculations and data processing happen locally on your device.
Can I use this app on multiple devices?
The app can be installed on all your iOS devices using the same Apple ID. However, data is stored locally on each device unless you enable iOS app backups through iCloud.
